  • (Abstract) The MEJIPE seismic network is located on the Mejillones peninsula in Northern Chile. It was operated between June 2013 and October 2015 and consisted of about 20 short period, 3-component seismometers of type Mark L4-1Hz. The data recording was continuous at a sample rate of 100Hz. The principal aim of the MEJIPE network was to monitor local (micro) seismicity and to provide a high-resolution image of the shallow part of the South American subduction zone beneath Mejillones in Northern Chile. About 3000 local seismic events have been detected and located.
