General guideline about how to create a new issue/ticket

Video tutorial
  1. Sign in or Create an account (by clicking on “Register” in the menu bar top/right)
  2. Login and go to the projects page (by clicking on “Projects” in the menu bar top/left)
  3. Select your project/sub project (by clicking on the project name)
  4. Click on "New Issue" in the menu bar (on desktop) or within the pull down menu (top/right on mobile devices).
  5. The project field is automatically filled, select Tracker (Bug, Feature or Support)
  6. Write a title in the "Subject" field
  7. Add a short description (in case of many unrelated issues, do not list all in a single issue/ticket but split them)
  8. Status and priority can be left with default values
  9. Assign the issue to a person/group in the "Assignee" field
  10. Add a file (if any, e.g. a screen shot or text) and click "Create" to submit the issue/ticket

Issues states

  • New - Issue/ticket just opened, assigned to an "Assignee" not touched yet.
  • In Progress - The Assignee started responding to this issue.
  • Resolved - The Assignee thinks he has done what has been requested.
  • Closed - Who opened the issue should in general close it but also the Assigne can do that directly for simple issues not requiring testing/confirmation.
  • Feedback - Can be used by the Assignee or anybody else if there is the need to have an explicit feedback .
  • Rejected - No need of actions to respond to this issue, according to the Assignee or others.
